Bone Builders

RSVP Bone Builders is an osteoporosis prevention and reversal exercise program. It relies upon weight training to protect against fractures caused by osteoporosis through increasing both muscular strength and bone density. Trained RSVP members lead bi-weekly classes to help improve balance, increase strength, enhance energy, and provide health education, group discussion and socialization to participants. Classes are free to participants and offered at several locations throughout Itasca and Koochiching Counties.

Bone Builders Testimonials:

“I am pleased that the exercises that my PT has me doing are all the warm up exercises from Bone Builders. She hadn’t heard of Bone Builders but is now a believer, as I am progressing so well due to my attending the Bone Builders classes for two years prior to my surgery. My intent was to retain bone and muscle and improve balance. I did all of that and more. I am so pleased with the way things have gone. Bless Bone Builders!”

“I have been attending “Bone Builders” in International Falls, Minnesota, for seven weeks now and am very impressed with the exercise, the structure and the follow of the entire program. The instructors are very knowledgeable, organized, well prepared and trained to present this quality program in a way that keeps all members focused and on track. The leaders give some informational tips each month and proceed to completing exercise on course and having everyone involved. Members’ ages vary and all are participating, from my observation, to full capacity and appear to be excited to be feeling better and upbeat."

"I have felt results within the timeframe that I have been attending and now I even pay more attention to my posture when it is emphasized in the program, as well. The particular exercises seem to make a difference in how I feel and help me focus on how I stand, walk, sit, etc."

"Thank you for your support of this program and I hope it continues. We are fortunate to have this available in our community."
